Program Description
The A/SET track prepares educators and other professionals to work with persons with disabilities, service providers and family members. Graduates will use technology to assist individuals to function more effectively in school, home, work and community environments.
Graduates of this track are prepared to incorporate technology into the roles of educators, related service providers, AT consultants, workplace environments, hardware/software and web designers and school based technology coordinators.

It combines resources from local, state, national, public, and private affiliations to develop products, services, and programs for all persons with disabilities.

- In addition, any EDIT course is approved as an elective.
Admission Requirements/How to Apply
- Completed Application for Graduate Study and the non-refundable application fee. The online application can be found at admissions.gmu.edu. Under "Program Information" on the application enter CRIN for Program, MED for Degree and IASP for Track/Concentration.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited instituition with a 3.0 GPA in the last 60 credits-of-study. Some applicants with a lower GPA may be admitted provisionally if there is sufficient evidence of potential success.
- Two official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended. Unofficial George Mason University transcripts are acceptable.
- Three letters of recommendation from professional references. Use the form available in the Application for Graduate Study.
- Passing scores on TOEFL test for non-native English-speaking applicants.
- Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) are not required.
