IDD M.Ed. Part-time Program
As with most graduate work, courses may be taken 1 or more at a time. The following steps are required to successfully complete the IDD M.Ed. Part-time Program.
- Apply to the IT Program. For admission requirements and the online application click here.
- Plan your course of study and then contact your program advisor to ensure that your course plan reflects the appropriate prerequisites to maximize your learning. The suggested course sequence for a two-year plan is below. For Electives, select 7 credits from any EDIT course in any of the Instructional Technology tracks.
- Register and complete courses. For a current list of courses offered and to register go to patriotweb.gmu.edu.
- Apply to Graduate.

First Year Fall (6 credits)
- EDIT 704 (3 cr)
- EDIT 705 (3 cr)
Spring (6 credits)
- EDIT 732 (3 cr) This is a prerequisite for EDIT 730

Add the e-Learning Graduate Certificate as a Secondary Program
Thirteen of the 30 credits required for the IT master’s program can be applied towards the e-Learning Graduate Certificate if it is added prior to graduating by filling out the Declaration of Secondary Program form.
