EDCI 712: Technology and Learning

Description: Corequisite: EDIT 713. Explores ways of knowing and theories of learning as reflected in and influenced by technology. Analyzes, applies, and evaluates current theories such as constructivism, multiple intelligences, role of symbolization in human cognition, development of problem-solving and critical thinking strategies, and learning conditions. Covers relationship of technological forms and nature and structure of human cognition, especially as it influences K-12 educational practice. Explores technology and nature of individual learner attributes, learners in context, special-needs learners, access, equity, and values.
