How to Apply/Deadlines
To apply to the Instructional Technology Program you must fill out the online application at admissions.gmu.edu.
When applying online you will encounter a series of drop down menus. Below is a list of steps you need to follow when applying to the IT MED and Certificate Programs.
MED Applicants (two drop down menus):- Program of Study: Curriculum and Instruction, M.Ed.
- Then click on "Enter Other Majors, Minors and Concentrations" which will bring up a concentration drop down menu.
- Applicants choose the relevant program as follows:

- IT-IDD Immersion
- IT-Assistive/Special Ed Tech
- IT-Instr Design&Devlpmnt
- IT-Integration of Tech in Sch
Certificate Program Applicants, should apply as follows:
- Program of Study:
- Assistive Technology, Certificate
- Integration of Technology in Schools, Certificate
- Online Academy for Teachers, Certificate
- eLearning, Certificate
Deadlines
Deadlines to enroll in the program and begin classes in the term indicated are as follows.
- Fall Term 2008- July 14, 2008
- Spring Term 2009 - November 17, 2008
- Summer Term 2008 - April 15, 2008
- Immersion Fall 2008 - Letter of Intent and resume to kshillin@gmu.edu - April 1, 2008/Completed application - May 1, 2008
You must have your COMPLETED application with all requirements submitted to the Admissions Office by the deadline.
Non-Degree Program
If you have missed the deadline to enroll in the term that you wanted to start taking IT classes, you may be able to enroll in the Non-Degree Program while you are completing the IT Program application. Up to 12 credits can be taken as a Non-Degree student. Once you are enrolled in the IT Program, the credits can be transferred. The application for the Non-Degree Program along with requirement and deadline information can be found at admissions.gmu.edu.
