How to Apply/Deadlines
To apply to the Instructional Technology Program you must fill out the online application at admissions.gmu.edu.
When applying online you will encounter a series of drop down menus. Below is a list of steps you need to follow when applying to the IT MED and Certificate Programs.
MED Applicants (two drop down menus):- Program of Study: Curriculum and Instruction, MEd
- Then click on "Enter Other Majors, Minors and Concentrations" which will bring up a concentration drop down menu.
- Applicants choose the relevant program as follows:

Certificate Program Applicants, should apply as follows:
- Program of Study:
- Assistive Technology, Certificate
- Integration of Technology in Schools, Certificate
- Online Academy for Teachers, Certificate
- eLearning, Certificate
Deadlines
Deadlines to enroll in the program and begin classes in the term indicated are as follows.
- Summer Term 2010 - April 15, 2010
- Fall Term 2010 (Part-time Program) - July 30, 2010
- Fall Term 2010 (Immersion Program) - Letter of Intent and resume to kshillin@gmu.edu - February 1, 2010 - *Completed application - April 2, 2010
- Spring Term 2010 - December 17, 2009
*Only those who have received an email from the IT Program may submit full applications to the Immersion Program.
You must have your COMPLETED application with all requirements submitted to the Admissions Office by the deadline.
Non-Degree Program
If you have missed the deadline to enroll in the term that you wanted to start taking IT classes, you may be able to enroll in the Non-Degree Program while you are completing the IT Program application. For the Master's degree, up to 12 credits can be taken as a Non-Degree student. For the Certificate program, up to 6 credits can be taken as a Non-Degree student. Once you are enrolled in the IT Program, the credits can be transferred. The application for the Non-Degree Program along with requirement and deadline information can be found at admissions.gmu.edu.
