IDD Track 1
M.Ed. - Part-time Program
- Completed Application for Graduate Study and the non-refundable application fee. The online application can be found at admissions.gmu.edu. For more detailed information about applying online, please see below.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited instituition with a 3.0 GPA in the last 60 credits-of-study. Some applicants with a lower GPA may be admitted provisionally if there is sufficient evidence of potential success.
- Two official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended. Unofficial George Mason University transcripts are acceptable.
- One or two page goals statement that gives the reasons for choosing Instructional Technology as your profession.
- Three letters of recommendation from professional references targeting instructional technology and academic abilities. Use the form available in the Application for Graduate Study.
- Passing scores on TOEFL test for non-native English-speaking applicants.
- Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) are not required.
M.Ed. - Full-time Immersion Program
- Prerequisites - EDIT526 & EDIT705 (must be completed prior to beginning the Immersion Program in the Fall term.
- Letter of Interest and resume sent to Ms. Kelley Shillingburg at kshillin@gmu.edu.

Online Application Information
When applying online you will encounter a series of drop down menus. Below is a list of steps you need to follow when applying to the IT MED and Certificate Programs. The online application can be found at admissions.gmu.edu.
MED Applicants (two drop down menus):- Program of Study: Curriculum and Instruction, M.Ed.
- Then click on "Enter Other Majors, Minors and Concentrations" which will bring up a concentration drop down menu.
