Instructional Technology
The Instructional Technology (IT) Program at George Mason University provides professionals with the specialized knowledge and skills needed to apply a wide range of computer and telecommunications technologies in achieving educational goals within school, community and corporate/public settings. The program consists of three tracks -
- Instructional Design and Development - Track 1
- Integrating Technology in Schools - Track 2
- Assistive Technology - Track 3
All three program tracks combine current theoretical foundations of technology development and integration with practical hands-on experiences in using state of art technologies. The IT program serves professional educators and related service personnel from public and private pre-college and post-secondary institutions, as well as those involved in instructional design, development, and training in government and the private sector.

Mike Behrmann Wins Prestigious Award
We are thrilled to announce that Mike Behrmann has won the J.E. Wallace Wallin Special Education Lifetime Achievement Award for 2007!!!! He will be formally given this prestigious national recognition of his lifetime achievements to improve the success of individuals with disabilities at the national Council for Exceptional Children meeting in April in Boston. This important award has only been given to a handful of outstanding special educators.

Mason-to-Metro Commerce Building Stop Added
The Mason-to-Metro shuttle will now stop at the CUE stop outside the Commerce Building on University Drive. The shuttle will stop approximately 3 - 5 minutes after the scheduled departure time from the Sandy Creek Parking Deck and will stop approximately 15 minutes after scheduled departure time from the Metro. Arrival times can vary dependent on traffic. The shuttle schedule can be found at shuttle.gmu.edu/masontometro.htm.
Norton Receives Virginia Outstanding Faculty Award
In Richmond, Priscilla Norton received one of this year's SCHEV awards for outstanding teaching. This award, given by the State Council for Higher Education in Virginia, is highly competitive and indicative of remarkable accomplishments in teaching.
